Elizabeth Acosta is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial and financial operations within the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Americas Commercial and Financial Operations at Ciena since April 2012, Elizabeth has also held the position of Regional Business Operations Senior Director for the CALA region. Previously, Elizabeth worked at Nortel Networks from July 1992 to August 2003, where multiple roles included Director of Proposals Management, Sales Development and Marketing, Contract Negotiations, and Wireless Operations. Elizabeth's career began at BellSouth Telecommunications, where crucial roles included Current Switch and New Services Planner. Elizabeth holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University.
