Ahmad Pesaranghader serves as an Applied AI Research Scientist at CIBC since September 2024. Prior to this role, Ahmad worked as a Machine Learning Scientist at ProteinQure from March 2022 to July 2023, focusing on deep learning applications for peptide and protein discovery in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies. Ahmad's extensive experience includes postdoctoral research positions at McGill University and Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, where work centered on biomedical knowledge graph mining and deep neural embeddings for functional analysis. Earlier contributions include research at Imagia Cybernetics on Generative Adversarial Networks and a Ph.D. fellowship at the Institute for Big Data Analytics, concentrating on biomedical text data and machine learning techniques. Ahmad holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science from Dalhousie University and master's and postdoctoral degrees in knowledge management and biomathematics, respectively.
