Gerlof Groenewold has extensive experience in fire safety and pest control, currently holding a position at Chubb Fire & Security Nederland since August 2018, working as a general technician for fire extinguishing systems and emergency lighting. Prior to this, Gerlof worked at Rentokil Pest Control Nederland from November 2006 to July 2018 as a hygiene inspector focusing on architectural pest control measures. Gerlof's earlier roles included MIG and TIG welding in various construction projects between November 2000 and November 2006, a warehouse worker at BROSHUIS from November 1997 to November 1999, and a paving contractor at Bastiaan straatmakersbedrijf from May 1995 to September 1997. Gerlof's education includes a degree in pest control from CPMV, courses in electrical engineering, welding techniques, safety certifications such as VCA, and specialized training in maintenance of fire extinguishing systems.
