Abraham was appointed as an independent non-executive director of the Company in April 2008. He has acted as the honorary chairman of the Company since 29 April 2019 following his retirement from his position as the chairman. Mr. Shek is the chairman of the audit committee, the nomination committee and the remuneration committee of the Company. He is the former member of the Legislative Council for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from 2000 to 2021. He is currently a member of the Court and the Council of The University of Hong Kong, a honorary member of the Court of The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and a member of the Advisory Committee on Corruption of the Independent Commission Against Corruption. He holds a Bachelor degree of Arts and a Juris Doctor degree. He is the chairman and an executive director of Goldin Financial Holdings Limited (stock code: 530) which is listed on the Stock Exchange.
