Heather Murphy serves as a consultant at the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) since October 2017, previously holding various consulting roles focused on health initiatives and advocacy, including work with the Florida Alliance of YMCAs and the Walkable and Livable Communities Institute. Notably, as Florida Advocacy Organizer for the Safe Routes to School National Partnership, Heather established a network aimed at enhancing physical activity among children and improving community infrastructures in lower-income areas. Heather's significant experience spans multiple roles within the Florida Department of Health, managing public health promotion programs, leading statewide initiatives on chronic disease prevention, and driving policy development. Heather earned a Bachelor of Science in Community and School Health Education from Florida State University.
