LaMonte Williams is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in managing financial operations and training the next generation of accountants. Currently serving as the Assistant Controller at Christopher Newport University since July 2005, LaMonte oversees the transactions of two 501(c)(3) Foundations and the University's Alumni Society, managing assets exceeding $160 million and an annual revenue of $22 million. Concurrently, LaMonte contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor in the Luter School of Business, teaching accounting courses. Previous experience includes a role as Staff Accountant at WittMares CPA, where LaMonte specialized in auditing, compliance, and financial reporting, coupled with an internship at the Auditor of Public Accounts in Virginia. LaMonte holds a B.S. in Accounting from Christopher Newport University.
