Vanessa Fusco has extensive experience in the art industry, with a career spanning over a decade. Vanessa began their career in 2003 as a Docent at DIA Beacon and then went on to work as a Curatorial Intern at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 2005. In 2006, they joined Christie's as a Sale Administrator for Impressionist and Modern Art, where they worked until 2008. Vanessa returned to Christie's in 2008 as a Consultant Author and later became an Associate Vice President and Museum Services Account Manager. In 2014, they were promoted to the role of VP, Specialist Head of Sale for Impressionist & Modern Art and VP, Associate Director of Museum Services. In 2021, they were appointed as the SVP, Head of Evening Sale and Head of Sales for Impressionist and Modern Art at Christie's. Additionally, they gained experience as a Curatorial Intern at The Museum of Modern Art in 2009.
Vanessa Fusco completed their primary education at Hunter College High School from 1995 to 2001. Vanessa then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Art History and Italian at Vassar College from 2001 to 2005. Later, they attended the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU from 2008 to 2010 and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Art History and Archaeology. Additionally, they briefly studied at Università di Bologna in 2002-2003, though no degree or field of study information is available for that period.
