Sara Hogle has diverse work experience spanning various organizations. Sara began their career in 2006 as a Youth Treatment Specialist/Shift Supervisor at Wedgwood Christian Services, where they worked closely with youth in a residential setting, focusing on life skills and counseling. Simultaneously, they served as a Tutor/Substitute Teacher in the Upward Bound Program at Grand Rapids Community College, assisting high school students with homework and college exploration.
In 2009, Sara joined Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids, Inc. as a Workforce Development Specialist/Career Coach. Sara worked with youth on employability skills, facilitated education and career exploration, and advocated for their participants with employers. Sara later transitioned to the role of WIOA Youth Program Coordinator, coordinating a federally funded program for youth aged 16-24, addressing barriers such as transportation, childcare, and homelessness.
In 2014, Sara interned for the Campus Visit Program at Grand Valley State University's Charter Schools Office. Sara developed engaging programming for middle and high school youth on college tours, utilized social media to promote the university, and provided informational resources on charter schools.
Since 2017, Sara has been employed at Choice Schools Associates, initially as an HR Generalist and later as the Director of Human Resources. In their current role, they support environmental schools by recruiting passionate employees and addressing their day-to-day HR needs.

Sara Hogle pursued their education by obtaining a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Youth Development from Michigan State University. Sara attended this university from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Sara attended Grand Valley State University from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Sara also obtained a certification as a SHRM-CP from SHRM in January 2021.
