Dr. Yogesh Shah is a triple board certified physician in Geriatrics, Family Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Bombay University in India and completed his residency training in Family Medicine from the Mercy Mayo Residency Program in Des Moines, IA. He completed his Geriatric Fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He earned a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Des Moines University. Dr. Shah joined the medical staff at BMC in September 2016 and practices as a geriatrician in the Broadlawns Geriatric and Memory Center. He is the Founding Director of the Broadlawns Palliative Care Program and serves on the Medical Executive Board and as a faculty member for the Broadlawns Family Medicine Residency Program. Prior to Broadlawns, Dr. Shah was the Associate Dean of Global Health at Des Moines University. Dr. Shah currently serves as a board member on the Iowa Department of Public Health’s Advisory Council, Above + Beyond Cancer, ChildServe and the Des Moines Symphony.
