Ryan O'Hara is a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Children's National Hospital since July 2023 and a Course Instructor at The Johns Hopkins University since August 2018, where responsibilities include managing and instructing the online Engineering for Professionals Master of Science Program in cardiovascular and electrophysiological systems. O'Hara has developed an online Master of Science course on modern engineering topics and served as a teaching assistant in related courses, contributing to curriculum development and student mentoring. Previous positions include Research Fellow at the FDA and web developer/content editor at the Alliance for Cardiovascular Diagnostic and Treatment Innovation. Research experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Canon Stroke and Vascular Research Center, and University at Buffalo, focusing on cardiac models, vascular geometries, and 3D printing methods. O'Hara holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's Degree from the University at Buffalo.
