Winnie Stevenson is an experienced educational leader with a background in both teaching and administration. Serving as Assistant Principal at Chicago Public Schools since September 2020, Stevenson previously held the same position at St. Malachy School and has extensive teaching experience as a Department Chair at North Lawndale College Prep and ACE Technical Charter High School. Stevenson's career began with teaching roles in various schools, including Erie Elementary Charter School and Colegio Dunalastair, along with a research assistant position at Chapin Hall, where valuable research on educational initiatives and early childhood programs was conducted. In addition to a K-12 Teaching License, Stevenson holds a BA in Sociology and Spanish from Illinois Wesleyan University, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and is anticipated to complete a Doctor of Education in Urban Education and Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2023.
