David Jaramillo currently serves as Assistant Principal at Chicago Public Schools since July 2022, having previously held the role of Resident Principal. Prior experience includes teaching math at The Next Step Public Charter School from April 2020 to June 2022, and a US History teaching position at Paul Public Charter School in 2019. David Jaramillo also worked as a Dual Language Social Studies teacher with the District of Columbia Public Schools from August 2016 to June 2019. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Urban Education Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago (expected May 2026), a Master’s degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University School of Education (2016-2018), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley (2011-2015).
