Bayan Brito-Shaku serves as an Assistant Principal at Chicago Public Schools since September 2024, following a similar role at Acero Schools from 2018 to September 2024. At Acero, Bayan successfully oversaw instructional coaching for multiple teachers and paraprofessionals, significantly improved teacher retention rates, and increased middle school reading proficiency through targeted initiatives. Contributions also include implementing strategic plans for bilingual services and enhancing school culture. Prior to these roles, Bayan's experience spans civic engagement coordination at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and program coordination with the U.S. Department of State, alongside participation in Teach For America. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration, and multiple master's degrees in related fields.
