Astoria Griggs-Burns, MS, currently serves as a Healthy CPS Network Specialist for Chicago Public Schools since March 2024. Prior to this role, Astoria held multiple positions at Breakthrough, including Community Health Worker and Associate Director of Community Health & Wellness from July 2020 to March 2024. Responsibilities included implementing community programs, conducting neighborhood assessments, and coordinating various health-related events. Additional experience includes roles at Mattoon Area Family YMCA, Eastern Illinois University, and various community-focused organizations where Astoria developed health initiatives, promoted wellness, and engaged in volunteer coordination. Astoria holds a Master's degree in Health Promotion and Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from Eastern Illinois University.
