Kendra Mealy is an experienced library professional currently serving as the Children's Department Manager at the Chicago Public Library since April 2007. Kendra has held progressive roles, including Librarian III and II, where significant programs such as “Cantos y Cuentos” and “Tween Lounge” have been developed, along with overseeing the move to the new Little Italy Branch. Prior to this, Kendra worked as a Children's Bookseller at Borders Books from 1999 to 2007 and completed an internship in the Children's Department at Monroe County Public Library. Kendra holds a Master of Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor's degree in English from Earlham College.
