Arlene Frances Gottardo has extensive experience in library services, primarily at the Chicago Public Library since February 2012, where responsibilities include children's and adult reference, reader's advisory, collection development, and programming for children and teens. Arlene currently serves as a children's librarian, with a focus on arts and crafts, early childhood education, and community outreach, particularly at the Beverly Branch. Additionally, Arlene has worked part-time as a newspaper editor at Southwest Messenger Press, Inc. and previously instructed in art, calligraphy, and cooking at Chicago Ridge Park District. Arlene holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from Saint Xavier University.
