Les Copeland serves as the Chief Information Officer at Chevron since April 2024, focusing on scaling innovative technology solutions to foster a sustainable energy system. Prior to this role, Copeland held various senior positions at General Motors from October 2012 to March 2024, including CIO for Global Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain, and CIO for Global Digital EV Commerce. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, where responsibilities included overseeing enterprise sales and marketing applications, and at Dell, where Copeland directed business intelligence and enterprise data warehousing efforts. Additional experience encompasses a directorial role in global communications at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Les Copeland earned a BSBA in Marketing from the University of Arkansas between 1992 and 1994.
