Sir Chris Tickell currently serves as a Senior Advisor at PA Consulting and The Chertoff Group and holds positions as a Non-Executive Director at MyDefence and Wifinity. As Chief Royal Engineer of the British Army since September 2023, Sir Chris has a distinguished military career, previously serving as Lieutenant General and Deputy Chief of the General Staff from August 2013 to August 2022. Sir Chris has also held various leadership roles in the British Army, including Major General positions that involved overseeing Army capability, recruiting, and training. In the academic realm, Sir Chris received a Master of Arts in Defence Studies from Cranfield University and completed studies at prestigious institutions, including the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
