James Philip has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. James started their career as a Supervisor - Security Officer at Pacific Lutheran University Campus Safety & Information in 1995, where they gained skills in transportation, equipment inspection, and investigation. James then joined Starbucks Coffee in 1999 as a Shift Supervisor before transitioning to Gordon Trucking, Inc. in 2003 as the Director of Recruiting. In this role, they were responsible for administering compensation and benefits programs, advising on career development, and ensuring legal compliance. James worked at Gordon Trucking, Inc. until 2016. James later joined Cheema Freightlines, LLC. in 2017 as the NW/I-5 Operations Manager and then progressed to become the Director of Driver Recruiting & Development. Currently, James holds the position of Director, Talent & Fleet Development at Cheema Freightlines, LLC. since October 2020.

James Philip began their education at Rogers High School in Puyallup, WA, where they completed their diploma from 1991 to 1994. After that, they attended Pacific Lutheran University from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Music Education degree (BME) in the field of study of Choral K-12.
