Giovanni Rago

Head of Customer Solutions at Checkly

Giovanni Rago began their career in 2013 as an IT Technician at EURO-M Informatica S.r.l. In 2012, they began freelancing as a Web Developer alongside Francesco Stefanini. In 2015, they joined TestObject - Mobile Testing as the Head of Customer Success, where they were responsible for leading the Customer Support team and tracking requirements from bigger enterprise-level customers. Giovanni also led teams of up to four engineers for larger test automation projects in the context of professional services for world-class businesses. In 2016, they joined Sauce Labs as a Sales Engineer and Manager of Customer Success, EMEA. In this role, they led the integration of the European Support team into a truly global organisation, organised and facilitated know-how transfer about the existing (previously TestObject) Sauce Labs Real Device Cloud, and assisted enterprise customers in achieving their business goals using Sauce Labs while also supporting account executives at Sauce as a sales engineer. In 2020, they joined Checkly as the Head of Customer Solutions and Head of Developer Relations. In this role, they worked with Checkly customers of all sizes to help them model and subsequently implement the right active monitoring solution for their use case, and managed and wrote for theheadless.dev to help build the community around Google's Puppeteer and Microsoft's Playwright headless frameworks.

Giovanni Rago attended Liceo Scientifico Niccolò Copernico from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained their High School degree in Sciences (experimental course). Giovanni then attended Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2009 to 2014 and obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
