We’re a fully remote startup on a mission to enable developers to detect and resolve issues 10x faster through code-driven synthetic monitoring. In other words, Checkly lets you know if something is wrong with your production website or API even before your end-users know.

Our marketing team plays a critical role in scaling our reach and impact, targeting DevOps, Platform Engineering, and SRE professionals. We have thousands of users and hundreds of customers, including 1Password, Autodesk, AutoTrader, CrowdStrike, Deno, Render, Sentry, and Vercel. We're inviting a results-driven marketer who is deeply embedded in Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategies and understands the DevOps persona to work alongside a team that focuses on metrics, results, and delivering modern monitoring solutions to our users and customers.

Key areas of impact

  • Data-Driven Demand Generation: Spearhead initiatives that drive qualified leads and nurture them through the sales funnel, leveraging data to continuously optimize.
  • PLG Excellence: Implement PLG frameworks that accelerate user activation, product adoption, and customer loyalty.
  • Cross-Channel Marketing: Your role is to be the orchestrator of all digital marketing channels— including SEO, SEM, Social Media, Display, Email, Video, Content —ensuring alignment with PLG and DevOps focus.
  • Paid Channel Expertise: Direct and manage a broad range of paid channel strategies, encompassing paid search, paid social, and other digital advertising platforms.

What You'll Do

As the 4th member of the marketing team that consists of our CMO, Product Marketing Manager and Developer Relations, you will:

  • Drive growth campaigns from development to execution, with a primary focus on Top of Funnel (ToFu) growth, including ideation, campaign management, data analysis, and copy creation.

  • Utilize data and build reporting to create and run innovative marketing projects across multiple channels:

    • Social Media: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube
    • Google AdWords and Analytics
    • Email Marketing: HubSpot sequences and workflows
    • CRM: HubSpot
    • Website content optimization for search engines, including keyword research and improving organic search rankings
  • Identify new data sources to enhance messaging, targeting, and campaign timing for ToFu initiatives.

  • Manage marketing budget and costs to grow reach while reducing CPA and CAC, with a strong emphasis on ToFu efficiency.

  • Develop, own and execute marketing strategies tailored to the Developer and DevOps landscape and its personas.

What You Should Have

  • Extensive experience in a Growth Marketing roles with a B2B SaaS Developer, DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering product required, while a deep understanding of the Monitoring and Observability landscape and its personas is a nice-to-have.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue exponentially and at velocity.
  • Expertise in data analysis and marketing automation tools.
  • Track record of bold, creative marketing tactics.
  • Experience driving signups, pipeline, and revenue through calculated risks and experimentation, particularly focused on ToFu growth.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments, such as founding a company or working in product/growth/engineering at a tech startup.
  • Proficiency with the latest marketing and AI tools to scale campaigns and processes efficiently.
  • Ability to architect and manage growth projects from start to finish.
  • Affinity for PLG (Product-Led Growth) strategies and motions, with a strong emphasis on expanding the ToFu.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated in a remote, async-first environment, while also contributing positively to the team dynamic.

What we pay

Fair, competitive, and transparent pay is very important for us. Therefore we work with a  that includes several factors such as seniority level as well as location.

For this role, the pay range is

  • $151k - $168k for someone in US Tier 1 locations (Austin, Boston, LA, NY, SF, Seattle, Washington).
  • $121k - $134k for someone in all other US locations.
  • €93k - €103k for someone in a similar cost of living as UK, Germany etc.
  • €84k - €93k for someone in a lower cost of living location such as Spain, Poland, Ukraine etc.
