Kara Wenner is a seasoned financial analyst currently serving as Financial Analyst II with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent since March 2022. Kara has also developed entrepreneurial skills as the proprietor of Cashmere & Oak since September 2017 and previously owned Miss Kays Cookies until March 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Bookkeeper and Order Entry at Magic Lite Ltd from January 2015 to March 2018, and Administrative Assistant at Anista Designs from November 2013 to September 2014. Additionally, Kara served as a Board of Director member for Sheridan College Student Union, advocating for student interests in financial matters and extracurricular activities. Educational qualifications include an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Nipissing University, an Applied Accounting Diploma from Mohawk College, and an Interior Decorating Diploma from Sheridan College.
