Hayder Al Shakeri is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and humanitarian efforts. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at Chatham House since September 2021, Hayder previously held the position of Research Associate for the MENA region. Prior roles include Program Officer at the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining and Liaison Officer with the United Nations Mine Action Service. Additionally, Hayder contributed as an Associate Programme Support Officer at UNDP and participated in stakeholder engagement initiatives. Early career experience encompasses positions at Human Rights Watch, Sida, and various roles in social media and communications. Hayder holds a Masterās Degree in Development Studies from SOAS University of London and dual Bachelor's degrees in Public Administration and Political Studies from the American University of Beirut, along with a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy from Dickinson College.
