Matthew Nielsen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Matthew is currently a Member of the K-12 Professional Practices Advisory Committee. In 2021, they served as a Board Member for both the Arizona Coalition of School Board Members and East Valley Together. In 2019, they founded and became the Chairman of the Educational Freedom Institute. Prior to that, they held positions as the Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff at Charter One from 2017 to 2019. From 2012 to 2020, they served as the Secretary of the Board of Directors at Wagner Holdings, Inc. Matthew also worked as a Contributing Writer for Influencive, where they wrote articles on entrepreneurship and leadership. In 2017, they served as the Chief of Staff at American Leadership Academy. Additionally, they founded the mobile app "pushpyns" in 2016. Before that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of Nielsen Consulting Group from 2014 to 2017, where they provided consulting services to technology and legal services companies and achieved significant results in decreasing costs, increasing retention, revenues, and profits, and improving onboarding processes. Overall, Matthew Nielsen has a strong background in education, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Matthew Nielsen attended Creighton University from 2012 to 2013, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree at the School of Law with a focus on Organizational Negotiation. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, they attended California State University-Sacramento and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications, with a specialization in Interpersonal and Small Group studies.

Additionally, Matthew Nielsen holds certifications as an Amateur Radio Operator, acquired from the Federal Communications Commission in June 2008. Matthew also possesses a Mediator certification from the State of Nebraska, although the specific dates of obtaining this certification are unavailable.
