Dr. Monica Saenz is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended the University of the Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with Honors. She practiced as a registered nurse for over 7 years before returning to the University of Texas Medical Branch where she obtained her Medical Degree in 2003. She graduated at the top of her class and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

She completed her residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of the Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Saenz is board certified in Emergency Medicine.
