Detlef Dohmen is an experienced IT executive currently serving as General Manager International IT at Asahi Kasei since April 2021. With a tenure at Polypore International, LP - an Asahi Kasei Company - that began in January 1992, Detlef has held multiple leadership roles, including CIO and IT Director, successfully managing significant organizational changes including an IPO and six mergers and acquisitions. Detlef's journey in IT commenced with a promotion from software developer to IT Project Manager in 1993, where innovative contributions included the establishment of a software development team and implementation of large-scale systems. Additionally, Detlef is a board member of Apparo and an advisory board member at CharlotteCIO. Academic credentials include a CIO Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University and a Diplom in Electrical Engineering from FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences.
