Ryan Pelletier has a diverse background in the veterinary field, starting as a Small Animal Rotating Intern at BluePearl-Georgia Veterinary Specialists. There, they gained experience in emergency medicine and assisted specialists in various disciplines. Following this, they worked as an Associate Veterinarian at South Wilton Veterinary Group, VCA Westbury Animal Hospital, and James Island Veterinary Hospital, where they provided primary care for canine and feline patients, performed surgical procedures, and supervised medical support staff. Currently, Ryan serves as the Associate Director of Veterinary Care at Charleston Animal Society, where they continue to provide medical care to animals in their shelter and foster system, as well as in the community through programs such as Trap, Vaccinate, Alter, Release.
Ryan Pelletier completed their Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science at the University of Connecticut between 2008 and 2012. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2016, they pursued their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, specializing in Small Animal Medicine, Avian and Exotic Animal Medicine.
