Timothy C. Behrens, P.E., DFE, CFI, CFEI, CVFI, ACTAR, currently serves as Principal Forensic Engineer at Charles Taylor since October 2021, providing expert consulting in forensic engineering for various accidents, fires, explosions, and product failures. Prior to this, Timothy held positions at EFI Global, first as Principal Engineer from January 2015 to October 2021, and previously as Senior Engineer from January 1999 to August 2006, where expert forensic services were also offered. As the Owner and Forensic Mechanical Engineer of Behrens Engineering Investigations, LLC from September 2006 to January 2015, Timothy managed a firm focused on similar forensic investigations. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Engineer at Exponent Failure Analysis Associates, where extensive testing and accident reconstruction took place, and as Mechanical Component Design Engineer & Project Engineer at Garrett Turbine Engine Company, focusing on gas turbine engine analysis and failure investigations. Timothy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona, earned between 1980 and 1983.
