Nikolaas Bender is a skilled Software Engineer at Charles River Analytics since August 2023, with prior experience as a researcher at UCSC Baskin School of Engineering and the University of Colorado Boulder. At UCSC, Nikolaas led a small team focused on developing safety systems for autonomous vehicles through multi-sensor fusion, specifically overseeing the radar component for mapping, alignment, and collision avoidance. In previous roles, Nikolaas contributed to the DARPA SubT challenge with team MARBLE and interned at ObjectRocket, where responsibilities included building backend APIs and managing cloud databases. Additional internship experience at IQVIA involved developing an automation tool for SQL Server database updates. Nikolaas holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UCSC and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.
