Professor Of Wellbeing at Charles Darwin University

Shez Cairney is a highly experienced professional currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Wellbeing Scientist at Interplay Project since 2017, and as a Professor of Wellbeing at Charles Darwin University since January 2021. Additionally, Cairney is the Lead Researcher for AMSANT, focusing on the integration of non-clinical indicators in Aboriginal primary health care quality improvement efforts. With a background in academic research at Menzies School of Health Research and previous roles at Flinders University and Ninti One Ltd, Cairney has developed expertise in cognition, brain health, and Aboriginal health. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience and Aboriginal Health from La Trobe University, along with a Diploma of Project Management and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science with honors in Neuroscience.
