April Westgaard currently serves as the Special Education Program Coordinator at Charles County Public Schools, a position held since September 2014, focusing on enhancing support for students and families. Prior roles at Charles County include Instructional Specialist and Teacher, emphasizing student engagement and enjoyment in the classroom. Previously, April held various leadership positions at the International Society for Performance Improvement from June 1998 to September 2014, including Executive Director and Senior Director. April Westgaard holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education and Teaching from Grand Canyon University (2015-2017) and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Frostburg State University (1988-1992).
