Nichol Carlson has a diverse work experience in the music and nonprofit sectors. Nichol started their career at Sony BMG Music Entertainment, where they served as Vice President and was responsible for developing and monetizing touring strategies for Columbia Records artists. Nichol also established strategic partnerships to increase profitability and awareness for the roster.
In 2009, Nichol joined Big Picture Music Co as Vice President, overseeing marketing plans and business functions for musical brands such as U2, The Rolling Stones, and Shakira. Nichol also played a key role in spearheading the musical direction for Sony Pictures' films, including Eat, Pray, Love.
At SUPAJAM, a European online social media platform in the music space, Nichol helped launch their presence in the US market. Nichol led the company's first foray through an innovative online music discovery contest for promising DJs and rock bands.
Nichol then joined Charitybuzz, where they served as a strategic partnerships professional, responsible for launching the West Coast presence of the organization. Nichol focused on marketing, business development, and creating alternative income streams for nonprofits by partnering with brands on their social responsibility platforms.
Currently, Nichol is working at Charity Network, first as Vice President of Business Development and now as Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships. Nichol is a leading member of the sales team for the consumer-facing platforms, Charitybuzz and Prizeo. In their role, they manage outreach, on-boards clients, creates campaigns, and forges relationships within the entertainment and nonprofit communities. Nichol specializes in brand and entertainment based partnerships and has worked with celebrities like Beyonce, Ellen Degeneres, and brand partners including HBO and Tesla.
