Michael Smink

Strategic Growth Lead EMEA at Chargebee

Michael Smink has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Michael started their career in 2012 as a Front Office & Guest Relations Trainee at Grange Hotels - St. Pauls while studying Hotel Management. In 2015, they joined Pentair as a Thesis Trainee, where they focused on marketing and communication strategies.

Following that, Smink worked at Michael Page Nederland from 2015 to 2018 as a Senior Sales Consultant, specializing in IT and Supply Chain. During their time there, they excelled in sales, managed key accounts, and developed new business. Michael was also part of the Page Group's 2018 President's Club.

In 2018, Smink transitioned to Plot Projects as an Account Executive. At Plot Projects, they helped companies integrate real-world user behavior into their mobile marketing automation and customer journeys.

In 2020, Smink joined Chargebee as an Enterprise Account Executive. Michael then transitioned to the role of Enterprise Lead EMEA, where they led the Enterprise Segment in the EMEA region. Smink achieved notable success at Chargebee, onboarding over $3M of new ARR and being recognized as a member of the President's Club for two consecutive years.

In the same year, Smink also became an Associate at Revenue Collective, a private membership organization for commercial growth operators. As an Associate, they focused on supporting the professional development of revenue leaders at high-growth companies.

Overall, Smink has demonstrated their expertise in sales, account management, business development, and marketing strategies throughout their career in various organizations and industries.

Michael Smink completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Hotel Management from Saxion University of Applied Sciences from 2011 to 2015. Michael also pursued a Pre-Master program in Public Administration from the University of Twente in 2014 to 2015.
