Tessa Retterath Jones has held various roles throughout their work experience. Tessa started their career as a Teller & Receptionist at Union State Bank in 2000 and later worked as an Administrative Assistant at Investment Centers of America from 2002 to 2003. In 2003, they became a Private Piano Teacher at Mount Calvary Academy of Music.

Starting in 2005, Tessa joined the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts as an Education Assistant. Tessa also worked as a Consultant for the organization from 2006 to 2014. In 2006, they began their own arts marketing consultancy called rjonescreative, where they provided web design services and marketing advice to clients.

In 2009, Tessa became a member of the Board of Directors at CapitolRiver Council, where they served as the Chair of the Arts Committee & Marketing/Fundraising Committee until 2014. Tessa also worked as a Business Development Consultant at Ergenomics in 2010.

From 2012 to 2015, Tessa worked at Schubert Club as a Box Office & Systems Manager, followed by the role of Marketing & Ticketing Manager from 2012 to 2015. Tessa then became the Director of Marketing at Schubert Club from 2015 to 2019. During their time at Schubert Club, Tessa was responsible for all aspects of marketing, ticketing, and audience development. Tessa achieved significant sales increases, led successful marketing initiatives during a merger, and oversaw multiple website redesigns.

In 2019, Tessa joined Chapman University as the Director of Ticketing Services, where they started the department from scratch and implemented a new ticketing and live events CRM system. Tessa later became the Vice President of Event Operations, leading the consolidation of four different event areas into one central department and improving team efficiencies and communication.

Throughout their career, Tessa has demonstrated strong leadership, marketing, and project management skills, especially in the arts and events industry.

Tessa Retterath Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management and Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. Tessa also completed their Master of Business Administration at the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business between 2007 and 2012.
