Tom Desmond is a partner at Velocity Capital Fintech Ventures, a venture capital fund dedicated to innovative, early-stage fintech companies globally, since March 2020. Desmond holds multiple board positions, including member roles at Gotrade, Owlin, Openclaims, Lendahand, Mathesis Analytics, and Carolina Fintech Hub, as well as observer roles at Cellulant and Meniga. Desmond has an extensive educational background, including an MBA in Finance, Accounting, and Marketing from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, an M.A. in English from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Notre Dame.
