Thamali Herath is an experienced Electrical Engineer currently serving at the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) since March 2020, focusing on Root Cause Analysis of faults in Sri Lanka's Transmission network. Prior to this role, Thamali worked at CEYLEX Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd from April 2015 to February 2020, holding positions such as Senior Electrical Design Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Site Engineer, and Electrical Design Engineer, and contributing to various Grid Substation projects. Thamali gained earlier experience as a Temporary Instructor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, and as an Engineering Trainee at Sri Lanka Telecom and CEB's Distribution Region 2. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, completed in 2015, and earlier schooling at Mahamaya Girls' College, Kandy.
