Kavinda Rukshan Atapattu is an experienced operations engineer currently employed at Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) since October 2016, primarily working at the Lakvijaya Power Station, the only coal-fired thermal power plant in Sri Lanka. Prior to this role, Kavinda served as a Mechanical Engineer and held the position of Project Engineer at Professional MET Consultancy Services (Pvt) Ltd from April 2014 to September 2016, reporting directly to project managers. Earlier experience includes an engineering trainee position at the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority, focusing on renewable energy projects. Kavinda holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of the Science of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Moratuwa.
