Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with over a decade of expertise in developing collaborative solutions in educational technology. Currently at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris is involved in hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices, following previous roles as a firmware engineer in the same company where firmware and diagnostic tools were developed. Prior experience includes serving as an electronics contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and working as an electronics engineer at Grindcom to develop control systems for forestry harvesters. Chris also gained teaching experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
