Gal Simhi has worked in the software engineering field since 2009. Gal started their career as a Team Leader and Senior Software Developer for the Israel Defense Forces - Technological Unit, where they were responsible for R&D of complex software products and systems revolving data communication and processing. Gal also designed and implemented proprietary communication protocols and protocol stacks in C++, and had coding experience in multiple programming languages including C/C++, Python and C#. In 2015, they joined Skybox Security as a Software Engineer. In 2018, they moved to Logz.io as a Software Engineer, and in 2019, they joined Cervello as a Software Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer.

Gal Simhi attended Tel Aviv University from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended IDF's Programming School (Mamram) from 2008 to 2009 to study computer programming.
