Ellen Behrens is a skilled professional in the field of biological research with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as Assistant Scientist I and previously as Research Associate II at Cerus since May 2021, Ellen has a strong background in aseptic processing and sample handling gained during tenure at Mayo Clinic from August 2018 to May 2021, where responsibilities included the isolation and cryopreservation of PBMCs. Prior experience as a State Program Administrator - Intermediate at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture involved managing training documentation and supporting regulatory program standards. Earlier academic research at Luther College focused on the study of disease-causing bacteria in deer ticks and sunflower domestication. Ellen holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Luther College, earned in 2014.
