Mark Salopek has held various roles in the technology industry since 1977. Mark'searliest role was as a Technical Writer/Trainer at AAI Corporation. In 1993, they became the Director of IT, Facilities, and Engineering Services at Marconi PLC (formerly FORE Systems, Inc.). In 2006, they worked as a Contractor in the areas of Project Management and Technical Communications (Technical Writing & Technical Training) at Partners Alliance. In 2007, they took on the role of Service Program Manager at Alcatel-Lucent. Since 2011, they have been the VP of Engineering Operations and the Sr. Director of Program Development at Certes Networks.

Mark Salopek received an Associates degree in Electronics Technology from Penn Technical Institute between 1975 and 1977.
