Hamid Echchakir has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Hamid is currently the Head of Operation and Biobanking at Cerba Research since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of R&D and Business Development Manager at a confidential company from January 2020 to January 2022. Hamid also served as the Project Manager Consortium at Biobanks Infrastructure from January 2016 to March 2019.
Before that, they co-founded DIAGBIO Experts and served as an Account Manager from January 2014 to January 2016. Hamid's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Project Officer at NOKAD, a biotech start-up, from February 2007 to September 2013. Hamid was responsible for developing a new technology for inactivating secreted proteins in vivo.
Hamid also worked as a Project Manager at Diaclone SAS from March 2003 to November 2006. Hamid started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Gustave Roussy from January 2001 to February 2003, followed by a Post-doctoral position at Ludwig Cancer Research from February 1999 to March 2000.
Hamid Echchakir completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology at the Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) from 1996 to 2000. In 1994-1995, they also earned a DEA (Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies) in Immunology from the same university. In 2014, Hamid attended Ionis-STM, école de double compétence, where they obtained an MBA in Management/Innovation for a single year. In 2018, they pursued a program in Valorisation innovation called DU GBM Valorisation de l'innovation et la Recherche Biomédicale at Pierre and Marie Curie University.
