Cevat Giray Aksoy serves as the Associate Director and Senior Research Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) since May 2016, and holds the position of Associate Professor of Economics at King's College London since September 2019. In addition, Cevat Giray Aksoy is a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and a Research Associate at both the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and the IZA Institute of Labor Economics. Previous roles include a Research Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Teaching Associate at University College London. Cevat Giray Aksoy began a career in economic development as an Economic Development Specialist at the New York State Department of Economic Development. Education includes a Ph.D. in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London, a Master's Degree from the University at Albany, and a Bachelor's Degree from Istanbul University.
