Matthias Valvekens is a Senior Scala Engineer at Centrica Energy since July 2022 and a TC171 SC2 Subject Matter Expert with the ISO since March 2021, currently leading the project for ISO 32004. Engaged with ISO standards related to PDF through the Belgian standards body NBN, Matthias also has experience as a Research Engineer at iText Software, contributing to standards development, providing expertise in digital signing, and conducting technical training. Previously, Matthias completed a PhD in Mathematics at KU Leuven, where doctoral research focused on operator algebras, further complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the same institution. Early career experiences include software development internships at Datadobi.
