François Olivier Hébert, Ph.D., is a research associate at the Centre de recherche du CHUM (CRCHUM) since May 2023. Previously, François served as a scientific writer at the Centre d'Expertise et de Collaboration en Troubles Concomitants (CECTC) from February 2022 to June 2023, and as a spokesperson for the Association Québécoise des Intervenants en Cannabis Médical (AQICM) from October 2017 to June 2023. François also held the role of scientific consultant and bioinformatician at Kannabosm from September 2016 to June 2023, and served as scientific director at Clinique La Croix Verte from February 2016 to December 2021. François has experience as a postdoctoral researcher at Université de Moncton from April 2019 to March 2021 and at Université Laval from May 2017 to May 2019, as well as completing a Ph.D. in ecological genomics and a Master’s degree in evolutionary genomics at Université Laval, where François's doctoral research focused on host-parasite interactions and behavioral changes driven by parasites. The academic foundation includes a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Université Laval, completed from 2006 to 2012.
