Luke Sell currently serves as the Dean of Public Safety at Central Piedmont Community College, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Luke Sell had a distinguished career at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department from 1996 to January 2024, culminating in the position of Major in the Special Investigations Division. In this capacity, Luke Sell oversaw 80 personnel, managing an annual budget of $13.3 million while leading covert operations. Various leadership roles included Captain of the Criminal Intelligence Division, where Luke Sell enhanced city security through the Real Time Crime Center, and Captain of the University City Division, known for handling a high volume of service calls.
