Eric Coe, MA has a diverse work experience in the field of security and law enforcement. Eric began their career as a Detective in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and served in that role for almost thirty years before retiring in 2016. After retiring, they joined Atrium Health as an Investigator/Trainer, where they conducted investigations and implemented training programs to ensure the safety and security of hospital employees, patients, visitors, and property. Eric also served as the Corporate Security Manager, overseeing armed and unarmed security officers and collaborating with law enforcement agencies. Currently, Eric is the Executive Director of College Security at Central Piedmont Community College, responsible for establishing and maintaining security protocols across all campus locations and ensuring a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Eric Coe has a Master's in Counseling with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Liberty University and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice/Police Admin. from Strayer University. Eric has additional certifications, including Multi-Hazard Emergency Management for Higher Education and Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100 from FEMA, as well as a Firearms Training Certificate from the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board and an Atrium Health Security Training Certificate from Atrium Health Corporate Security.
