Mato Veber, CPA, MBA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Mato is currently the Director of Finance at Central Garden & Pet, leading the finance and business partnership for the $450 million Central Specialty Pet business. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Finance at Camelot Illinois, overseeing the $2.8 billion Illinois Lottery as a subsidiary of Camelot Global. Before that, Mato Veber held various roles at The Kraft Heinz Company, including Investor Relations Manager, Brand CFO, Category Finance Manager, Financial Cost Manager, and Capital Finance Manager. Mato also worked as a Senior Audit Manager at Altria, conducting audits for subsidiaries such as Kraft Foods, Philip Morris, and Miller Brewing Company. Earlier in their career, Mato Veber gained experience as a Supervising Senior Auditor at KPMG and as a Senior Auditor at United Government Services, where they focused on auditing Medicare facilities and investigating fraud cases.
Mato Veber, CPA, MBA completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. Mato later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from Marquette University, from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, they obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in 1998.
