Hiruni Dayananda has accumulated significant professional experience in the field of environmental science and agricultural management. Since November 2017, Hiruni has served as an Environmental Officer at the Central Environmental Authority. Prior to this role, Hiruni worked as an Extension Officer at the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka from February 2014 to October 2017, and as a Demonstrator at Sabaragamuwa University from September 2013 to August 2014. Earlier experience includes an Industrial Trainee position at the Coconut Research Institute of Sri Lanka from January 2013 to April 2013. Hiruni holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences and Management in Export Agriculture from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, completing studies there from 2007 to 2013, and attended Visakha Vidyalaya Colombo from 1992 to 2007.
