Scott Chalupa is an experienced educator and literary professional with a focus on English composition and poetry. Currently serving as the Lead Instructor for English 101 at Central Carolina Technical College since August 2020, Scott has also contributed as a Poetry Reader for Nimrod International Journal from February 2020 to March 2024. Prior experience includes teaching roles at the Institute of Reading Development, where Scott taught K through adult programs, and at the University of South Carolina, where Scott instructed courses in critical reading and composition and served as a graduate teaching assistant. Scott's editorial experience encompasses various roles, including Managing Editor for Glass Mountain Literary Journal and an intern position with Gulf Coast. Scott holds a Master's degree in Creative Writing and a graduate certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of South Carolina, along with a Bachelor's degree in English Creative Writing from the University of Houston.
